Attention Sales Community... Building Harmonious Client Relationships Creates Sales Longevity And Prosperity.
"If you wish to have a harmonious relationship you must learn to communicate and compromise."
Milana May

Yourdictionary.com defines harmony as - Agreement in feeling, action, ideas, interests, etc.; peaceable or friendly relations.

Think about it... increasing harmony in your life may bring you a sense of calmness, peace and happiness.

Can this be applied to your client relationships?

Living in harmony is an agreement, a commitment to oneself to practice. It’s a conscious choice of how we want to live.

Can living a harmonious life exist with your clients? Absolutely, as it requires practice, commitment, and tender loving care.

"All enduring success is founded upon harmonious human relationships."
Napoleon Hill

Napoleon Hill continues with,

"Most of us are incapable of going it alone. Whether it is in our careers, in our personal relationships, or in life, we all need others if we are to achieve the level of success we desire."

Now, think about where you would be in sales without your clients.

Relationships require work and they require an investment.

What are you willing to invest in order to collect from your client relationships?

Unfortunately, we know where trust sits within the sales world... without trust can you have harmonious client relationships?

Harmony in your client relationships means understanding. You don’t need to agree to be in harmony, but you must be willing to understand their experience and actually hear their truth.

Question for all of you... How do practice or cultivate harmony with your clients?

Let's apply the principles of harmony according to Venerable Master Hsing Yun, the founder of Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Order in Taiwan, in how you can cultivate harmony with your clients.

The Five Harmonies are:

  1. Individual harmony achieved through joy
  2. Interpersonal harmony achieved through respect
  3. Family harmony achieved through deference
  4. Social harmony achieved through cooperation
  5. World harmony achieved through peace

Please give thought to the last word within the five harmonies... What would happen to your client relationships if you brought joy, respect, deference, cooperation and peace to them?

Can you say, sales prosperity? I thought so.

Through harmonious actions, sales professionals build a better business world for their clients.

Harmonious client relationships drive long term sustainable sales prosperity.

GRATITUDE AND APPRECIATION... THE HARMONIOUS GLUE

“Trade your expectation for appreciation.”
Tony Robbins

Let's all think about your clients.... When is the last time you truly and I mean truly complimented or sincerely thanked your clients for doing business with you?

Now is the time to bring back compliments.

Now is the time to bring back appreciation.

Now is the time to bring back gratitude.

Now is the time to dig in and have meaningful conversation.

Right now, some of you are saying, “Larry, come on man. Get real!” Well, I am!

Do you value your clients? I sure hope you do. Therefore, I want each one of you to think about how giving compliments from the heart and with sincerity will strengthen the relationships with your clients.

In a world full of technology, way too many of you are hiding behind your keyboards to communicate.

When was the last time you had a heartfelt and open conversation with one of your clients?

We live inside a very chaotic and digitally driven business world, however; I promise all of you this...

Your clients are starving for attention. They're starving for affection. They're starving for real human and heartfelt conversation.

Gratitude fosters bonding. Gratitude fosters relational growth. Gratitude fuels harmony.

DIG BELOW THE RELATIONAL SURFACE

I believe there are way too many surface level conversations going on right now.

We've all been there, and we've all said these...

  • "Just checking in with you, do you need anything?"
  • "Hey (insert name), how have you been doing?"
  • "In the neighborhood and wanted to stop by"
  • "It's been a bit and wanted to say hello"

Stop the freaking insanity. What does all of this get you?

Those of you who choose to pull back the conversational covers and lead with your heart and not your wallet are able to connect with the emotional needs of your clients.

Your clients are humans - value them, respect them, listen to them and acknowledge them.

All of this starts with a simple thank you, a simple act of appreciation or by simply saying, "I am grateful for the opportunity you have given me to serve you".

By acknowledging and not forgetting the human element, heart-centered professionals maintain the wisdom to positively transform their client relationships through the power of gratitude.

Gratitude is a form of love. And if you don't love on your clients, somebody else will!

GRATITUDE LIFTS UP YOUR RELATIONSHIPS

To my sales community... You must express gratitude to your clients because they do have other choices. There is always someone out there vying for their attention and business.

Are you grateful each time your clients choose you versus someone else? Do your clients know it? Do they feel it? Do they sense it?

Don't expect their business because you're not entitled to it. You must keep showing value and renewing their interest in you.

There is a crap-ton of competition out there. Your clients have choices.

You can’t afford to take your clients for granted. Show them love, do something special, tell them you appreciate that they chose you and then work your ass off to earn their loyalty.

HARMONY CREATES SALES PROSPERITY

“The way is not in the sky. The way is in the heart.”
Buddha

The glue and center of all lasting, meaningful relationships is sincere, unconditional love.

This is why Selling from the Heart has become a movement inside the sales world.

Selling from the Heart professionals have a sincere desire to serve. It is this heartfelt sincerity that will be apparent to the people who matter most in your life, and they’ll thank you for it. And this would be your clients.

Showing your emotion isn't a sign of weakness. It's a sign of strength. It builds memorable bonds that transcend your business relationships.

I encourage all you, don't sit on your feelings. Take action. Gratitude felt but not expressed stunts relational growth with your clients.

A harmonious relationship your clients' needs sustained effort and nurturing. You can neither infuse harmony overnight nor can you expect that once achieved it’ll last forever.

The true magnet for astonishing, loving relationships is being centered in your heart. This is at the core of Selling from the Heart.

To quote Albert Einstein...

Out of clutter find simplicity. From discord find harmony. In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.

Let's apply this quote to everyone in sales... Out of sales clutter find simplicity. From client discord find harmony. In the middle of client difficulty lies opportunity.

Creating harmony with your clients will lead you down the path to sales prosperity.
